Soulja Boy was arrested in Granada Hills, California with a loaded firearm in his possession according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The rap star whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way was a passenger in a car which was pulled over for what was described as a routine traffic stop in the north San Fernando Valley. Soulja Boy was alleged to have had a gun on his person and was arrested and booked in a Valley jail shortly after 4:00 a.m.
Soulja Boy posted bond and was released with a date to appear in court in the San Fernando in about three weeks. Soulja is becoming quite a courtroom warrior having faced other criminal charges in 2011. That case involved the alleged possession of a weapon and some amount of marijuana in Carroll County, Georgia. That case has likewise yet to be resolved.
