Hector “Macho” Camacho is dead after being taken off of life support at age 50. Camacho was shot multiple times in his homeland of Puerto Rico. He and his lifelong friend were both shot outside a nightclub near the town in which they grew up. Camacho’s friend, Alberto Mojica was shot and killed as well. Mojico was said to have had nine bags of cocaine in his possession at the time of the shooting.
Police in Puerto Rico have yet to make any arrests and lack a motive for the shooting. Maybe I can help shed some light on their investigation: It was likely motivated by money, drugs or both.
To the family of Macho Camacho, I send my prayers and say that I had many hours of entertainment with my father and brother when we were able to sit together and watch Macho fight as we shouted cheers and drank of few cold beers.
