Simi Valley police arrested a 40 year old man from Los Angeles County earlier today after he was caught in possession of ecstasy and suspected of selling the illegal drug. Supreme Court Says No Drug Dogs at The House Without Warrant

In the second Supreme Court case in a year to involve drug sniffing dogs, the Court held that the cops need a search warrant in order to bring drug dogs onto your porch. The Court went on to say that not just inside the house, but the “curtilage” of the home should be free from law enforcement searches without a warrant. Curtilage is anything connected to the home or closing associated with the home like the porch or garage areas. A task force of Federal Agents and Sheriff’s Deputies set out on a quest to bust illegal sales of nitrous oxide in a 15 month investigation. The results were ten arrests and the seizure of 13 guns, several magazines and some illegal ammunition. 20 gang members were arrested after a police raid suspected MS-13 gang members of extorting money from food truck operators. Operation “Protecting The Dream” has been an LAPD task force aimed at protecting blue collar food truck operators from the heavy handed tactics of organized crime. Valley Doctor Arrested for 2007 Sexual Battery

A San Fernando Valley Doctor was arrested yesterday for allegedly sexually battering a patient he treated in 2007. The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office filed two criminal charges against Dr. Pez Abrahams regarding the 6 year old incident. At the time of the incident Dr. Abrahams was performing work for the federal immigration authorities. Some time after the incident the California Medical Board investigated Dr. Abrahams and ultimately revoked his license to practice in 2011, about 5 years after the incident. Three charged in Killing Westlake Church Deacon Outside His Church

Two more people were arrested and charged with the murder of a local church deacon after a shooting erupted outside the Westlake area church. One man and two women have been arrested and charged with murder of Andres Ordonez after Ordonez and several other parishioners allegedly confronted vandals spray painting the walls of their church. Three men were arrested in Ventura County after an extensive undercover operation led police to believe a couple of local medical marijuana dispensaries were selling illegal “bath salts”. Bath salts, as they have become known are said to be a manufactured drug that has a composition similar to methamphetamine and offers some psychedelic effects to its user. Keri Atwood and her husband were both arrested for worker’s compensation fraud in Ventura County. Both husband and wife were arrested and released on bond earlier this week. Keri is said to be a civilian employee of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department. The Ventura County Star reported that Atwood had allegedly suffered a leg injury at work and had received disability payments of about $30,000 as a result of her being off work from the injury.
