Veteran LAPD Officer Arrested for Assault

Alesia Thomas, a mentally infirm mother of two dropped her children off at a local LAPD station last year. Several officers were sent to Thomas’ home to investigate why. One of those officers is believed to be 48 year old veteran police officer Mary O’Callaghan. According to local news reports, there is LAPD video of this 19 year veteran cop kicking the handcuffed Thomas multiple times in the groin and stomach areas. Manuel Morales was arrested yesterday by Ventura County detectives after a string of residential burglaries took officers to his home. Morales is accused of victimizing elderly residents of Leisure Village in Ventura County. Morales was said to be breaking into the homes of old people and stealing their jewelry. Officers said when they arrested Moreno he was under the influence of narcotics, was in possession of narcotics as well as stolen property. Moreno is also a convicted felon. 2000 Pounds of Pot Seized in Boat off Santa Barbara

18 people were arrested and 2,000 pounds of marijuana were seized after a boat landed on a quiet Santa Barbara Beach Friday. Law enforcement officials said the boat was first spotted by a group of national guardsmen. The tip was turned over to Santa Barbara Sheriff’s who made the bulk of the arrests with the help of some other law enforcement agencies. Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man in Studio City foridentity theft after allegedly took a new Porsche from a local auto leasing company and apparently used the Underhill’s credit card to pay for it.
